Bridge Behavioral Health – Portland, Oregon

Meet Johnny Yorga
Johnny Yorga is a CSAT and Licensed Professional Counselor based in Portland, Oregon. Johnny helps individuals and couples navigate their journey through issues like problematic pornography use, classic sex addiction, compulsive sex and masturbation, problematic sexual behavior at large, and couple’s betrayal trauma. His work is rooted in authenticity, research, and the idea that healing happens when people come to understand, believe, and communicate their story.
The purpose of counseling is to provide you with a therapeutic space for exploration and tools to help you tell your story – past, present, and future.
From a young age, Johnny recalls a desire for truth. This passion led him to Multnomah Biblical Seminary where he studied the biblical languages and earned a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies. With his curious psychological itch not yet scratched he then attended Western Seminary and earned his second Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Johnny is grateful for the wonderful impact of the loving faculty at both institutions.
Johnny also holds a designation as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Johnny enjoys working with couples and has completed Level 1 in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This blend of theology and psychology shapes Johnny’s unique approach to therapy – integrating both the spiritual and psychological dimensions of healing.
People come to therapy at all kinds of different places in their lives. From desperation to change, to picking up the pieces of a traumatic betrayal, to the thick walls of denial, all are welcome in his office. His flexible, curious approach allows clients to explore aspects of themselves they may have never considered before. Johnny strives to create a space where clients feel understood and honored so they can learn, grow, and move toward the future they’ve always wanted.
Outside of his counseling work, Johnny is an advocate for mental health awareness within the faith community. He enjoys watching sports, smoking meats, and connecting with family and friends.
